Hello and welcome to the very belated Around Westmount Issue 18. This issue we are looking at upcoming events, celebrating significant anniversaries of organizations that meet in Westmount, reviewing some that have happened, and have a unique perspective to the Leonard Cohen exhibition at the MAC.
First of all, however, we all know that Fall fell two weeks ago .. although thankfully late. Reader and Westmount photographer sent a lovely photo of the Bellweather tree located…. in full scarlet regalia.
The Montreal Camera Club is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a remarkable exhibition at the Gallery at Victoria Hall starting November 8. You can read all about the club and its distinguished history. In addition the Westmount Historical Association’s October meeting takes a closer look at the history of the MCC.
Temple El Beth Shalom continues its calling to keep the memory of the holocaust before our eyes so we never forget, with a screening of Keep Quiet and discussion with Mitsumi Takahasi on Sunday, November 19.
and so much more.
While I was not online with an updated Around Westmount catching up with myself. We… techie Bernie Landry www.richmediasound.com set up a system so Around Westmount will arrive in your inbox every two weeks. With less “just” listings, my goal is to feature more detailed behind the scenes stories. I hope you have some to send to me.
Around Westmount Issue 19 is almost complete and features interesting businesses and business owners in and Around Westmount… I am enjoying researching it. I hope you enjoy reading it.
