Summer in Westmount  is so much fun… garage sales, festivals in the park, events at the recreation centre, summer exhibitions at the Gallery at Victoria Hall… and street fairs. This year the Westmount Victoria Village Merchants Association will host its 37th annual street fair Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11. Sponsored by local business Christina Miller Real Estate, Subaru, RBC, CIBC and The Westmount Independent, the weekend promises to be one of community fun, professional entertainment, games and events.

On Saturday, June 10 bands  Montreal’s Usual Suspects, The Cellar Rats, and The Hurt will perform at Prince Albert Square.

Throughout the weekend local musicians will wander the fair site serenading participants and merchants alike.

Throughout the weekend radio The radio 92.5 The Beat will provide onsite commentary, games and give aways.

“We are excited about the acts that will be performing at Prince Albert Square on Saturday, June 10. They include Les élèves du Studio Pleamara,  group of Flamenco dancers and local bands,:”  said Westmount fashion designer Astri Prugger, one of the organizers.

Of course it wouldn’t be a street fair without special events for the kids. From face painting to bouncy  castles and more. the weekend will just be fun.

And for those who just like to shop for the unique, 20 artisans will be displaying their varied work to enjoy and to purchase.
