Noted Westmount architect Bruce Anderson’s much anticipated exhibition of of selected Westmount work done by Anderson Architects from 1980 to 2016, in Victoria Hall Gallery starts tomorrow Wednesday March 1 and can be viewed only until March 3.
The work of Bruce Anderson, recognized Westmount architect and professor emeritus of architecture at McGill University, is known for quality of design. Since he started Anderson Architects, 4470 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest, in 1982, Bruce’s work has focused on a number of residential projects in Montreal and the United States, including several private recreational clubs and institutional projects in both Montreal and Toronto. Bruce has been a member of the Planning Advisory Committee in Westmount.
In 2014 Bruce published City Houses and Country Estates – Traditions Maintained – The Residential Work of Anderson Architects. The foreword was written by Witold Rybczynski, internationally acclaimed architect, architecture professor and architecture critic.
